2007 Ellis Modified Rolling Chassis

This car is a complete roller with only 8 races total on it for a very reasonable price.
Black powder coated frame, Hyper Coil Composite leaf springs, with radiator, fuel plumbing, fuel filter, motor mounts and motor plate included, wiring, fuse panel, autometer gauges, shifter, Simpson seat belts, 4 aero wheels, Coleman steering quickiner, winters 9" rear end with a 5.67 gear installed.
The bare frame cost me 3500.00, You wont find a better leaf car!

Uses a custom made J bar that promotes awesome side bite..
If you don't want to mess with all the bars this set up is great!
Car has excellent side bite and handles very well..

This kind of set up has been very fast for us and kept us in the top 5 at Lawrenceburg for a long time..

The spindles are pinto.. the rotors are Granada, 5x5 5/8 studs all around.
The lower A-arms are UBM after market.
Breaks are standard metric calipers on the front and Howell oversize piston metric calipers on back. The break lines are all light weight nylon, and there is a right front shut off valve plumbed in.

The front clip is a (new) 68/72 chevelle.. repop clip. not from a old rusty junkyard.

Long shackle on the left side.. This is derived form the fast boy set ups..
It is adjustable, and built on a slider.. This is one of the major reasons this car performs better than any other leaf cars out there.. You can use it to fine tune the set up.. The farther you pull it back the more forward bite and drive you get out of the car.. As the car rolls in the corner the shackle stands up forcing the LR to plant and produce bite. Very simple design that works.
Hyper Coil (who makes the composite springs) has referred many composite spring customers to call me for help on this set up that I developed about 5 years ago.

The use of the panard bar limits flex in the shackles,even though, flex is not a problem.. The special made panard bar helps trip the car as it enters the corner allowing the long shackle on the left side to extend and push the LR tire into the ground.. (forward bite)

The front end geometry is mostly Ellis design, although we adjusted the bump steer ourselves.
