1968 Mercury Cougar 351 W.

For sale: 68 Mercury Cougar. Asking $4000 firm.
Brand new 351W with stock internals redone by RHS. 1972 model block that is .030 over,with TRW forged flat top pistons, COMP CAMS Extreme Energy 270 Flat tappet camshaft, windage tray, Victor Jr. intake, 650 Demon Carb, 69 model 302 heads that have 1.94 chevy, and 1.6 stainless valves, 4 angle valve job, fully ported with 7/16 studs, guideplates, and 1.6 alum. roller rockers. New brass guides in intakes and Comp Cams double springs, retainers and 10 degree locks. Engine has less than an hour of runtime on it, but seems to overheat? Trans as new as motor. Newly rebuilt c-4 with TCI kit and shift kit. New GER 3000 stall (26 spline, anti-balloon plates, 10 inch) with straight Trick shift fluid. Trans cooler with remote mounted filter and trans temperature gauge. Electric fan and serpentine belt converted. Duraspark electonic ignition, 1 5/8 headers into 2 1/2 inch h-pipe and Mac Flowpath mufflers, out the back all new except for headers. Original power steering car(Not working due to missing parts) and front disc brakes. One new rotor and new shoes and pads with synthetic fluid. 3.80 Richmond gears in an open rearend. Have mini-spool and pin to put in. Centerline satin-finish solids on all 4's with G60/15 American racer tires on rear and B.F Goodrich tires on front. All 4 tires are new. Summit Racing bucket seats with covers, tach and three engine gauges. Everything on car has less than 1000 miles, but car has set some. Body is straight, with the exception of a dent or two, but needs both rear quarters and paint. Sequential taillights work, and it also has some new parts in the window crank system. New master cylinder, but needs a brake booster for the power brakes to work. Frontend has new lower control arms and upper balljoints. Has Summit adjustable shocks on all fours. Hood has hail damage and is not on the car yet because it needs a hole to fit 351.(came with a 302) Have a new Boss 429 repo hoodscoop for it. Have extra set of taillights and some trim for fenderwells (3). Needs to be tagged and inspected. Vehicle is red in color and has no A/C. Has clear Texas title.
