1987 BMW Turbo E30 327is Professionally Built

$15,000.00
Professionally built Turbo E30
I am putting up for sale my very nicely done 1987 E30. This car was built from the ground up to be a street-legal track capable rocket. No expense was spared.
I started with a very clean, southern 1987 E30 to which I added:
TCD Dynamics stage 2 turbo kit with liquid to air interooler, ceramic coated manifold and full exhaust
Treehouse racing 5 lug conversion with GC springs and Koni adjustables. 22mm front and 19mm rear sway bars.
UUC E36 M3 Big brake kit with bias adjuster, Stainless brake lines.
Oversize oil cooler. M3 radiator and fan.
Urethane bushings throughout.
17" "throwing star" wheels with nearly new Toyo Proxes 245-45 17's
Custom interior w/ 4 point roll bar and both street belts and 4 point harnesses.
Upgraded stereo with amp and new speakers
3 guage cluster on dash with oil temp, boost and Innovate LC1 wide band AFR.
We didn't just slap the turbo kit on an old motor, oh no.
I started with a ETA block, forged 524td crank, magnafluzed rods and Mahle SuperEta 8.5/1 pistons. All this went to the machine shop for balancing, machining and shotpeening were appropriate.
I have a list of over $5000 in parts, not including what I have outlined above. In short everything is new in the motor. The head was rebuilt and it uses a Cometic MLS gasket.
In the pics you can see the dyno sheet. Yes it makes 306HP and 300 ft/lbs of torque 12 psi on pump gas.
The AC still blows cold and the power steering still works through a new 2.7 turn lock-to-lock steering rack from Zionsville Automotive.
In short you can build a turbo E30 for less, but this car was done right from the start. I have run a track day in 85 degree weather and the oil temp never exceeded 200 degrees F.
This car will embarrass a lot of expensive hardware 306 HP and a 2822 pound curb weight (with a half tank of gas) means that you will pass cars costing 5 times what you'll pay to own this car. And insurance will be CHEAP!
So you are asking why the heck is he selling if it's such a great car? Well I really don't want to but my job usually has me working one weekend day. As such I really can't justify spending the $$ for a 2 day trackday. My wife tells me I have too many toys around (cars and bikes) and my daughter gets her learners in 4 months and I don't want to teach her in this! In short I need a more "normal" daily driver. I'm looking for a very clean E36 M3.
So there it is. If you set out to build this car from scratch it would run you around $25,000. With where I have the reserve set this just might be the deal of the year on Ebay. If you have any questions about the car or want to see it locally give me a call at 404-444-5907 and I'll be happy to get together.
