2002 SPITZER TOP DRAGSTER F/S OR F/T
BRAND NEW BLOWN BBC !!!! Ready go run
$37,500.00
This car is ready to run right now. It is not for a beginner but more for a serious racer. If you want to qualify for top dragster or Q16 this is your car.
2002 Spitzer Dragster with very few runs on it. 260 inch wheelbase. A very special car with many innovations that really plant the tires and drives like a Cadillac. I am 6 foot 1 and weigh 227 pounds and I am comfortable in the car. There is a step built into the side that helps getting in and out of the car.
REAREND: It has a Spitzer sheet metal rear end housing with 40 spline axles, Strange carbon fiber brakes and an aluminum Mark Williams center section with Pro 4:10 gears. There are Weld 16 X 16 wheels with new Goodyear 34.5/16/17 tires.
TRANSMISSION: It has a glide with a new ATI two piece case and 1.80 low and 10 clutch high gear, Hipster aluminum valve body, TCI pump and dual ring servo. There is a Neal Chance one piece blower torque converter.
This car is completely ready to run and have fun. It has the best of everything and is not a beginners car, but more for a serious racer.
ENGINE: A Brand New 440 cu.in. standard deck Chevrolet block that is filled to the water holes and has the extra bolt bosses. There is a Lunati blower crank, with dual key ways, GRP aluminum rods and 4.310 JE pistons. It has Billet Frabrications, two piece, oil pan that houses a Titan oil pump. The valve train starts with a Crane Cams blower cam and Crower lifters that push by the Smith Bros. 3/8, 120 wall pushrods that operate the Jesel 1.7 rockers on the Brodix Big Brodie Reher & Morrison heads. All of the valves are Stainless severe duty with Titanium retainers and 10 degree locks. There is a Milidon style front gear drive that also drives an Enderle 990 fuel pump. The intake manifold is a Littlefield with a burst panel and port nozzles. The blower is an 8-71 Littlefield high helix retro-fit. The blower drive is 13.9MM and there are extra pullies. The belt and pullies are shielded with an aluminum RCS shield on the top and down one side. There is a 5 inch spacer under the Enderle three hole injector that has the Enderle Nitro K-valve and all special made lines. All of this is topped off by an A-Fuel carbon fiber scoop. The ignition system is an MSD-10 with an MSD crab distributor and retard box. There is also a primer system that uses gas to prime the engine and there is no need for a spray bottle and the driver is able start the car without any help. The engine only has a very few passes on it since a rebuild.
There are two Simpson parachutes to stop the car. It has a carbon fiber mono-strut rear wing and a Formula One type of front wind under the nose. In the drivers compartment there are new seat belts, a Racepak dash that reads off of the racepak computer system, and Painless switchs built into the dash. There is also a fuel shut-off handle, an electrical shut-off handle. The shifter is operated by an electic solenoid. There is an ACD dual solenoid starting line enhancer system to create consistent reaction times that is controlled to a K&R delay box with timers that also operate the MSD retard box and an additional fuel valve during the run. There is also a, special design, wheelie bar. With all of this there is a Racepak V-300 computer with 8 egts, two fuel pressures, boost pressure, oil pressure sensors, Engine and driveshaft RPMs, and computer program to go with all this. The first time out it ran .96 sixty foot, and 6.61 in the quarter mile. With some tuning, it could run much faster, but the idea was to make the car dependable, maintenance free and competitive anywhere and all of this has been accomplished. The quick sale price is $37,500 for the complete great driving Q16/Top Dragster car with tremendous power. I am only interested in selling the complete operation because I am retiring from the sport!! You will get everything necessary to run this car. (i.e. tools, fuel jugs, warm up stand etc.) If you have an interest in this car, please call Chuck at 330-352-8908 or email me at cmaruni@aol.com.
